Rotary Club of Okota under the leadership of the Club President, Rtn Ibrahim Sogunle has kicked off a school bag donation project that will see hundreds of pupils across four schools in Isolo, Lagos, receive brand-new school bags.
The project, part of the club’s education-focused initiatives for the 2026–27 Rotary Year, commenced on Thursday, September 24, at St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Isolo, where 103 school bags were presented to pupils.
Appreciating the club for the thoughtful gesture, the School Account Officer, Mrs. Oyebade Christiana Olubisi, commended the quality of the bags and described them as “high quality.”
She noted that the donation would help ease the burden on parents who may not be able to afford school bags for their children, saying:
“You have wiped away the tears of parents that cannot afford the bag.”
Mrs. Olubisi also expressed the hope that Rotary Club of Okota would continue to bring more impactful projects to the school in the years ahead.
This is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and dream.
