The final phase of the District Basic Education and Literacy Project took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, with a seminar held at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Maryland, Lagos.

Tagged “Building the Future: Strengthening Basic Education Through Community Action,” the seminar was jointly organized by Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112 and brought together students from various Interact Clubs across Lagos and Ogun States.
 
The young participants had the opportunity to network, bond, make new friends and acquire valuable skills, creating meaningful connections and learning experiences beyond the classroom.

The Chairman of SUBEB, Dr. Hakeem Shittu, was represented at the event by the Secretary, Alhaji Hakeem Taiwo.
Through initiatives like this, Rotary continues to create opportunities for young people to learn, connect and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.
