The District Governor of Rotary International District 9111, Rtn. Bukola Bakare, on Sunday joined members of the Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate to celebrate a major milestone in the club’s annual Mission for Vision project.

Under the leadership of Club President, Rtn. Prasan Kumar, the club has already surpassed its initial target of 800 free cataract surgeries, with over 800 beneficiaries receiving the gift of clearer vision.
The surgeries are being carried out at Indo Eye Care Hospital, along Airport Road, Lagos, a facility dedicated by the club to providing free cataract surgeries for people in need.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the Lagos State Government, which also assists in identifying and supplying beneficiaries for the programme.
During the visit, the District Governor toured the hospital facility alongside Dr. Mazeedat Erinosho, who represented the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Health.

This is restoring hope, independence and brighter possibilities.
This is Rotary in action.
This is Service Above Self.
